Small SWR 12.3 update

Final new character roster stands at Sanae, Cirno, China, Utsuho (nuke), and standalone Suwako.
Day zero patch was leaked before the actual expansion itself, mauve looked into the files.
Confirmed win quotes, spell cards, system cards, everything.
Translations randomly somewhere, tropsy's going through it but he's like barely awake.
Some of the system cards are really silly, like Tengu Fan is a permanent speed boost that stacks.
Can you imagine Youmu with four tengu fans?
Fucking christ.

SWR English Patch out

Well team mauve plus motley crew of misfits or whoever finally finished spitting this out.
I actually might replay this loathsome game for the story, as there were a lot of jokes I knew I was missing.
Heard Tenshi keeps spouting Chinese quotes and Yukari keeps counter-spouting.
Plus Yuyuko is just silly as hell.

Well Sanae isn't really an idiot, just sort of...new at the whole Youkai hunting thing.
The other two however...
Oh god I do not relish the inevitable flood of Cirno scrubs.
Honestly that is the only thing that would make return this game, crushing 9000 Cirno scrubs from 4chan or wherever.

Also gift has announced three more plushies in their Touhou line.
I thought since they did most of the SDM cast they'd move on to Perfect Cherry Blossom in order, but seems like I was wrong.
Eight is Sanae??? nine is Cirno (boo), tenth is Suwako.
They really are keeping their regulation of each pair only gets one character with a removable hat deal.
Also I just realized they purposely made Cirno number 9 on their release order.

Random Updates

Wow, every single random Japanese youtube channel I am subscribed to is putting out Scarlet Weather Rhapsody vids.
This includes daruism, serikamo, even nakaji39 geez.

In terms of the actual game, I like it.
That is to say, I like it more than probably the rest of the people who played IaMP.
Glitches, wrong block pushback, fly stall and bullshit weathers aside, I find the game is pretty fun.
However, I still do not play with fly, rather I play around it.
Fly is a sort of bullshit mechanic when full abused, people are starting to realize just how powerful and idiotic it can be.
Right now my gameplan as Suika almost entirely revolves around keeping you down so you don't abuse fly, and spamming 2C and preemptive melee if you do.

I get the distinct feeling the current Japanese scene is like our USA scene, there's the old IaMP player base that basically rapes for free, and then tons and tons of new 2ch/4chan scrubs.
Anyway the USA hackers have already made a no weather hack, the rage from super armor is too great.
Japan will most likely keep playing it straight though.

Also youtube seems to be failing more and more on the videos I upload lately, roughly half of the TMN Magist3r set was lost to Youtube's mysterious "Failed" error.
Doesn't matter TMN got a new HD so his seeking times don't suck (and by extension, Fraps) anymore, so he can record his own matches, and I'm back to uploading Tohgeki 3.


Angelia is my main in Arcana Heart 2.
I played for like 3 days straight at the last Spooky gathering.
Actually, I sort of waited until the wee hours of the morning when only Ken and Hal were awake, and had them teach me her BnB.
Then I proceeded to lose 9000 casuals.
I don't know why or when this blasted loli angel wearing only a nightshirt went from annoying to cute, but right now I find her the most hilarious thing in the game.
Bakabakabaka indeed.

In real life news, the douchebag housemate really did use the nuclear option.
That means everyone has a month to leave; I'm looking for a new place.
Hope he dies prematurely to whatever ruptured organs he has.

Scarlet Weather Rhapsody Updates yet again

pooshlmer's servers are trash so I was forced to post information to 4chan, which I never visit.
Anyway, full roster pretty much confirmed.
I find it amusing how every character returns EXCEPT China, they screwed her again just for good measure.
There already seems to be a 1.01 patch.
Anyway the rundown.

Reisen.
Her sprite and portrait seemed designed to look as completely helpless moe as possible.



Komachi looks in pretty damn fine form.
I will definitely give her a try.

There's a lot of other screenshots, and it sort of makes me wonder if Tasofro forgot about stages where you CANT SEE JACK.
Yuyuko's snow stage is asking for bans already.
So yeah I'm interested in playing Aya, Patch, Suika, Komachi, and Tenshi right now.
We'll see how the chips fall.

Tropy and Mauve in #IaMP have hacked iampcaster to work with SWR and have released a beta to both the USA and JP communities.
ATM, there are some issues, (like lol too long Japanese profile names), but it's working for the most part.
Mad props to them for figuring caster out (well not entirely lol, caster is still cursed.)
